Parting the White Sea

Tucked up in my igloo loft during the 5th or so snowstorm in a month and a half, I am looking at cool vids of snowstorms on youtube. Found this particularly beautiful one, which at first glance looks like some sort of ship cresting white caps across the ocean. It's actually a train plowing its way across snow-buried tracks. What looks like a shack on the side of the tracks is actually a parked caboose on the track next to the train (I think).

The Art of the Everyday

How about this for storing your jewellery? I picture it on the wall hung as a piece of art.

Seeing this on etsy reminded me of a post from seesaw designs last month:

Thought Print

I know, I know! I'm not supposed to be on here. It was an accident, honest! Besides, morning coffee time doesn't count.

I stumbled upon this beautiful print by tuttistudio from Tel Aviv on Etsy. She draws in archival inks and watercolour. Isn't it gorgeous?

Yard Sale Bloodbath

I have always loved yard/garage sales, and they have become so important in my life for stocking my homes and closets. B and I have moved 9 times in 4 years and it is always heartbreaking how much we have to end up throwing out, so we always try to put off buying a household item until we absolutely have to, and when we do, we scour the yard sales and sidewalks first. So what a fantastic theme blog I encountered in Yard Sale Bloodbath! As well as a motto to live by that couldn't capture my sentiments better.

FYI, I always love hearing about awesome yard sale finds, so leave a comment and tell me about the last awesome thing you found!
